How to Set Up the Podcast Page Add-On (Static Version)

This setup is for you if you want an easy-to-launch Showit podcast page without WordPress integration.

You can use the Podcast page template:

Static version means no automation, no advanced plugins, no blog required. It’s all done inside Showit.

How the Static Setup Works

In the static version:

  • All content lives inside Showit
  • You manually edit episode titles, links, and images in Showit
  • Buttons link out to Spotify / Apple Podcasts
  • Episode pages are optional (manually add content and duplicate them for each new episode)

This is the fastest way to launch your podcast.

However, I wouldn’t suggest this setup if you already have 30+ podcast episodes because it would require a lot of manual work. In that case Dynamic Podcast Setup would be a better idea.

What Each Page Does (Static Version)

Podcast Home

This is your main podcast landing page.

You’ll use it to introduce the podcast, explain who it’s for, highlight featured or recent episodes, link out to listening platforms, add subscription form/lead magnet, and more.

Important note:
Featured and recent episodes are manually edited here.
You decide what shows up and when.

Podcast Archive (All Episodes) (Optional)

This page shows a list of episodes.

In the static setup:

  • You manually update episode titles, images, and links
  • Each item can link to:
    • Spotify / Apple Podcasts, or
    • a manually created episode page

If you have only a few episodes, this can stay very simple.

Podcast Single Episode (Optional)

You do not have to use single episode pages.

If you do want them:

  • Duplicate the Podcast Single Episode page
  • Manually change:
    • Episode title
    • Description / show notes
    • Audio link
    • Any resources

If you don’t want them:

  • Skip this page entirely
  • Link all episodes directly to listening platforms

Both approaches are valid.

What to Do With the Blog Pages

Even if you’re using the static setup, you’ll see blog-based podcast pages in your template.

For now:

  • Unpublish the blog versions
  • Do not delete them

Why keep them?

  • You can switch to the dynamic setup later
  • No redesign needed
  • Everything is already prepared for you

When Static Is the Right Choice

Static works especially well if:

  • You’re just starting
  • You publish episodes occasionally
  • You want minimal tech
  • You want something clean and done

You can always upgrade later.

➡️ That’s it.
Once your content is updated, publish and you’re live.
